GABY'S ART SURVEY PORTFOLIO
WATER COLOR TECHNIQUES
These water color techniques included using salt to give the artwork some texture and cool patterns (Top middle and right middle). We also scratched the page before we put the water color on the page to create lines in the water color that you can feel and see (left middle). We also used isopropyl alcohol and dropped it onto our page to create discoloration among the other darker watercolor (bottom middle).Another technique we used was crumpling up transparent paper and placing it on top of the water color we put down and giving it a cool patterned texture, (bottom right). The last technique we used was just simply using two colors that were different but had similar shades and made and ombre looking pattern out of them, (middle middle and bottom left. |
WIRE SCULPTURES
With these wire sculptures, we created some sort of thing of our choice that we wanted to sculpt with wire. This picture to the left is a wire dragonfly I created.
SOCIAL MEDIA MEMEBefore designing these social media memes, we watched the Netflix documentary, "The Social Dilemma." It revealed all the unhealthy things about social media and technology. So, after watching this I chose to draw this meme you see to the right. It displays how if social media is used in the wrong way and for the wrong reasons, then it can essentially have the same effect on your brain as drugs do.

GALAXY ART
This galaxy art was a ton of fun. I loved being able to create a galaxy of my own using water color, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and construction paper.
SKETCHBOOK ART
This is a drawing I drew in my own time in my sketchbook. Inspired by The Rolling Stones.
I began designing this cover at the beginning of the semester. I kept all my artwork in here all semester to keep it all in good condition.
